Biography

My name is Morten Beutelmann, I’m from Denmark in Northern Europe. I study at Copenhagen Business School to achieve Graduate Diploma in Business Administration, but as a side activity I’ve been working on mixing and composing music as an interest almost ever since mixing started going digital. It all started out by me listening to the musical world of Jean Michel Jarre in the 90′s and later on Tiesto along with various other trance artists. Around year 2000 I started mixing techno and eurodance styled music, which was very popular around that time. Later on I evolved into the world of hard- and psytrance. Now I have currently redrawn to focus on the progressive trance genre with elements of tech and vocal, which I have been working on since 2006.

I suppose I’m not quite like most DJ’s playing mainstream trance music, I like music not being as predictable as most mainstream trance. I love music with piano, violin and trance combined with tech trance. When I choose a song for a featured mix it has to have some special vibe, some special feeling or something out of the ordinary which makes me smile or just gives me the chills and makes me think of good times of partying all night. I actually think that most trance addicts know what I’m talking about. If a trance mix is to be remembered it has to have something quite unique – that’s what I do.

My task and ultimate goal is to create music that will make you chill and shiver with gusto.

My music is played all around the world. In March 2010 my mix had no less than 4600 people listening on the DI.FM Trance Radio, the peek of the day.
